Built around the looping hook “They raise the dose, just one more round,” the song mirrors the cyclical nature of treatment, dismissal, and self-questioning.
"Pills" goes over themes of expectations of attempting to look "stable". A key lyric repeated throughout the song delivers that message. “I white-knuckle all the way through this.”
